'Up' soars to top of U.S. box office
New family film "Up" has flown to the top of the US box office with a $68.2 million opening weekend. It is the third biggest debut for a Disney Pixar film after "The Incredibles" and "Finding Nemo".
In second place is last week's number one, the Ben Stiller comedy "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" with $25.5 million.
The new horror film "Drag Me to Hell", from director Sam Raimi, debuted in third with $16.6 million.
"Terminator Salvation" came down to fourth place from second place. This weekend it made an estimated $16.14 million in sales.
"Star Trek" became the top-grossing movie of 2009 this weekend. It finished at No.5 position with $12.8 million.
