Winners at MTV Movie Awards 2009
The 18th annual MTV Movie Awards were held at the Gibson Amphitheater on the Universal Studios on Sunday, May 31. Viewers determined the results through an online poll.
'Twilight' dominated the Sunday night at MTV Movie Awards. The romantic vampire drama has scored the most kudos at the gala ceremony. It picked up five awards.
Capturing the Best Movie Award, "Twilight" threw away it's strong competitors like, "The Dark Knight", "High School Musical 3: Senior Year", "Iron Man" and "Slumdog Millionaire".
Other winners are "High School Musical 3", "Yes Man", "The Dark Knight" and "Baby Mama". "High School Musical 3" took home two awards for Best Male Performance and Breakthrough Performance Female, while the others took in one each.
"The Dark Knight" won Best Villain for Heath Ledger.
The 2009 MTV Movie Awards was aired live starting at 9 P.M. ET on Sunday. The ceremony was hosted by "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg.
