Tom Sizemore: Arrested on drug warrant
Troubled actor Tom Sizemore was arrested in Los Angeles on Thursday on an outstanding warrant related to a 2007 drug case.
A police officer said that the 44 year old actor was arrested with an unnamed man in the Hollywood Hills after they encountered them.
The police officer also said that the other man was arrested on a drug possession charge, while Sizemore was only booked.
Sizemore was booked on $25,000 bail after officers discovered he had an outstanding narcotics warrant from the central California town of Bakersfield, but Los Angeles police said they had no further information on the warrant.
Tom Sizemore has a long police record. In 2003 he was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend, "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss. He was then sentenced to 17 months in jail and four months in drug treatment for repeatedly failing drug tests while on probation on March 25, 2005. Two years later, while still on probation for a previous drug conviction, Sizemore was again arrested on May 8, 2007 for possession of drugs at a California hotel. He is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for allegedly stealing multiple cell phones from a Verizon store in March 2009.
Sizemore is best known for his roles in war films like "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down". He recently made a guest appearance as a drug-using Hollywood figure on the new NBC police drama "Southland". He also played a detective on the cable TV series "Crash".
