Al Pacino: Plans to play Dr. Death
Al Pacino is presently in negotiations to portray the infamous Dr. Kevorkian in a movie about the life of the advocate of doctor-assisted suicide.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Al Pacino. The movie titled You Don't Know Jack is based on the life and "career" of Jack Kevorkian may . Here the star Al Pacino undertakes the leading role.
The movie, written by Adam Mazer and directed by Barry Levinson, is going to be centered on Kevorkian's life from the time when he built his "Mercy Machine" till he conducted his first assisted suicide to the media frenzy and legal battles that followed. Jack Kevorkian is presently paroled after serving eight years in prison of a 10-25 year sentence. The 81-year-old conducted more than 150 assisted suicides until 1999 when he was finally convicted of 2nd degree murder for videotaping one of his assisted suicides and mailing the tape to the television show titled '60 Minutes'.
It was initially thought that Ben Kingsley would potray the part of Jack Kevorkian. |
