Susan Boyle: Reaches 'Talent' final
Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle, whose voice made her a global star, stunned audiences again on Sunday and went through to the final of "Britain's Got Talent".
The 48 year old Susan Boyle became a worldwide sensation when she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables in the competition's first round on 11 April 2009.
Singing "Memory" from the musical "Cats" in the semi-finals on Sunday, Boyle overcame initial nerves to produce another command performance, her soaring rendition winning a public vote to go through to next Saturday's final. When she heard the result of the public vote, she gave a victory dance for the studio audience.
After Boyle's performance, Simon Cowell said, "You are one special lady, I have to say, you really are".
When the show's hosts asked her how she had coped with the pressure, she said: "What pressure, I really enjoyed myself, I enjoyed every second. I'd do it again!"
Later this year, the winner of the "Britain's Got Talent" show will perform at the Royal Variety Performance before Queen Elizabeth II and take home $160,000 cheque.
