Colin Farrell: Being star guest to gay brother's wedding
Colin Farrell, the Hollywood heartthrob, will be taking a break from his hectic movie-star lifestyle later this summer to attend the nuptials of his gay younger brother Eamon.
Eamon, the dance teacher and his artist beau, Steven Mannion had hoped to wed immediately following their engagement last year.
Although, they were forced to defer their plans until now due to their respective work schedules.
Now the loved-up Dublin couple have finally cleared space in their diaries to wed in a romantic same-sex marriage.
A smitten Steven, 26, revealed he will swap vows with his other half in the coming months, but is determined he’ll be keeping tight-lipped about the details in a bid to ensure their big day stays low-key.
“I’m dying to marry Eamo,” he told the Diary. “We’re definitely going to do it before the end of the summer and it’s going to be very small and intimate. Obviously it will have to be abroad as we don’t have a civil partnership bill in Ireland yet.
“We were half thinking of waiting for that because I’d like my granny to be there, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen anytime soon.”.
And while Eamon’s famous younger brother Colin will definitely be on the guest list, Steven claims their wedding will not be a star-studded affair.
According to the budding young artist: “I don’t consider myself and Eamon to be a celebrity couple at all.
“We’re very down to earth and like to keep it simple.
“Obviously Colin will be there, along with our close friends and family but that’s it.
“The only reason I talk about it publicly is because I want to draw attention to gay rights,” he added.
