 Kanye West: Pleads not guilty in paparazzi scuffle
American rapper Kanye West has pleaded not guilty on Friday in a Los Angeles court.
Kanye West was charged with battery, theft and vandalism in connection with a September 11, 2008 scuffle with paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport. In the incident, he was shown breaking a paparazzo's camera flash at the airport.
The 31 year old West was not present in court, but his lawyer, Blair Berk, appeared on his behalf.
Los Angeles City Attorney's spokesman Nick Velasquez said that Kanye West entered the plea through his attorney.
Blair Berk, West's attorney, refused to comment anything on the plea.
The next scheduled hearing in the case is July 15.
