Paris Hilton: Prank call led to police run-in
On Thursday night, for the second time in a week, police arrived in Paris Hilton's neighborhood over an alleged noise complaint, but the celebutante's boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, said it wasn't because of a rumored fight.
"Last night, my girlfriend, Paris, got a prank phone call from someone pretending that her dog Tinkerbell was let out of her house and it was [run] over," Doug told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush in an interview for "The Billy Bush Show" on Friday. "She started screaming and crying about it, thinking it was true."
According to Doug, "nosy" neighbors got the wrong idea and called the cops - who then arrived at his Hollywood Hills home.
"About a half hour later, I'm laying in bed with my underwear on and the cops... walked right into my house," he said. "It's a quiet neighborhood. I'm like, 'Hey guys, how's it going?'"
However, despite their recent drama, Doug had nothing but good things to say about his girlfriend.
"Everything's great, we're leaving tonight for the Cannes Film Festival," he added. "I'm in love, I'm head over heels in love. I've never been happier."
The police's arrival on Thursday night wasn't the couple's only recent run-in with the cops.
On Wednesday, online reports claimed their heiress had thrown a party at her new Hollywood Hills home which was broken up by police - after which, exiting partygoers allegedly vandalized several vehicles.
"As the party let out, some of the partygoers did some vandalizing," a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told Access on Wednesday.
Paris denied that she had held a party to RadarOnline, adding that she had been at Doug's house, where friends had been playing poker.
