 America Ferrera: Film deals with effects of war
"Ugly Betty" star America Ferrera is planning that her newly released film will inspire Americans to address the struggles that the soldiers had faced after they returned home from Iraq or Afghanistan.
Sources have thrown more lights on the news of America Ferrera. This twenty five year old America is starring and producing "The Dry Land," which dealt with the difficulties of a young man thereby readapting to small town life and following a tour of duty.
Ferrera said that the United States "should have an honest discussion about the effects that war has on our society, on the men who come back, on the families that are broken from it."
On Friday in a phone interview Ferrera is hopeful that the film has ignited so much of discussion.
Ryan O'Nan and Melisa Leo also acted in the movie, which was written and directed by Ferrera's boyfriend, Ryan Piers Williams.
