Bette Midler: Gives dating advice to Jennifer Aniston
The versatile American singer, songwriter and actress, Bette Midler, wants to play now the role of matchmaker for Jennifer Aniston.
In an interview with People, Midler told that Aniston, who was divorced from Brad Pitt in 2005 and recently split from John Mayer, needs to stop dating guys in show business and concentrate on adventurous men.
The 63 year old Bette Midler said, "She needs an exciting guy, like a race-car driver. I think she needs somebody who cherishes her, but also somebody who’s going to give her a run for her money. She should find somebody who is really hot, who’s not in show business. Somebody with a lot of money, and she should live the large life and forget about these a---holes. She’s a great girl. She’s got everything going for her".
Midler admitted that she had high hopes for Aniston's relation with Vince Vaughn, who dated from 2005 to 2006. She said, "I actually thought Vince Vaughn was great. He's hilarious, he's good-looking. I mean, I thought he had it all". Then again Midler added, "I don't really know them, but I like them, I like to watch them, I enjoy them".
After splitting from Vaughn, Aniston briefly dated male model Paul Sculfor for a few months in 2007. In April 2008, she began dating singer John Mayer. But this relationship has also been broken.
