Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal are now husband and wife.

Sources have thrown light on this news. According to them, Amanda Silverman, Gyllenhaal's publicist, had confirmed that the couple were married on Saturday. However she declined to say anything in details.

Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard have a daughter, Ramona, who was born in October 2006. They made the announcement of their engagement earlier that year.

Significant films of Maggie Gyllenhaal include "The Dark Knight" and "World Trade Center." Sarsgaard also has appeared in the films namely "Boys Don't Cry", "Jarhead," and "Kinsey."

Recently the couple co-starred in an off-Broadway revival of the classic play titled "Uncle Vanya."
