Lane Garrison: Free from prison
"Prison Break" actor Lane Garrison has been released from prison on April 29, 2009.
According to Lt. Jon Bartelmie, a spokesman for the prison, Lane Garrison was paroled and picked up at 3:50 a.m. on Wednesday from the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
Bartelmie also said that Garrison participated in a substance abuse program while at the prison and is eligible for a similar program now that he's been released.
Lane Garrison was sentenced to 40 months in jail on October 31, 2007 for a drunken driving crash that killed a 17 year old Beverly Hills High student. He was also ordered to serve four years of parole and to pay about $300,000 in restitution to the victims and their families.
According to a report, Lane Garrison, 28, was released before serving his full sentence because he received credits for good behavior, which is a common practice.
