Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone go to Wall Street
Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone are going to join a sequel to their 1987 hit "Wall Street".
Michael Douglas will reprise his role as the corrupt and predatory stockbroker kingpin Gordon Gekko and Oliver Stone will direct the sequel. The new title of the movie is "Wall Street 2", said 20th Century Fox spokesman Gregg Brilliant.
Douglas said, "We're probably going to do a Wall Street 2 - maybe towards the end of the summer. It's probably about a week away from announcing it with the elements coming together".
The sequel's plot is expected to follow Gekko after his release from prison and reflect the recent woes of the real "Wall Street".
Douglas won Oscar for Best Actor in 1988 for his role in "Wall Street".
The sequel is scheduled to start shooting this summer. Edward Pressman, who produced "Wall Street", will also join the sequel.
