Jay Leno: Back in business
Talk show host Jay Leno is back to appear on NBC's "The Tonight Show" after missing two shows last week because of illness.
While taping his monologue for Monday's show, the comedian made the most of his absence.
According to a spokesman of National Broadcasting Company (NBC), the 58 year old Leno said in his monologue, "You know, I had this 103 degree fever. I come in, in my Model T—it was freezing that morning and I didn't have a jacket on. I was freezing and I got chills and here at NBC we have an ODN—overly dramatic nurse. She came in...'Oh you have 103, oh, you have to go to the hospital right now! We have to call an ambulance!' I go, the hospital's right there. What happened was—and I think this was a mistake—I ate a raw pig a friend brought back from Mexico. It was delicious".
Leno will go to Wilmington to perform two standup concerts as part of his "Comedy Stimulus" tour, which touched down a few weeks ago in the Detroit area.
Leno is bringing his "Comedy Stimulus" show to the area on May 10 as a morale booster. About 4,000 tickets for a free show in Wilmington have been handed out Monday.
