Ann Curry: Sent to two war zones by NBC

NBC "Today" show news anchor Ann Curry is heading to two war zones sometime during this week.

She is traveling to both Iraq and Afghanistan for reporting on how the wars are being reshaped under the administration of President Barack Obama. Her reports are scheduled to be aired on both the "Today" show and NBC's "Nightly News."

The NBC channel also maintained reticence  about this specific report . Only it was said that she would be given some unprecedented access. She might also try to do some reporting in Pakistan.

Her "Today" colleague Matt Lauer has been a real globe-trotter. Since the beginning of 2008, Ann tried to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and went to the Serbia, Pakistan,Congo,  Japan, China and France. She's also went to Darfur four times since the year 2006.
