 Katie Holmes: Celebrates Victoria Beckham's birthday soon after bro-in-law's death
Former 'spice girl' Victoria Beckham celebrated her 35th birthday with a ladies-only dinner Wednesday night, two days after her forty eight year old brother in law Joseph Jeffrey Fretti, who is the husband of Katie's older sister, Tamera, died of heart failure.
Actually turning 35 this Friday, the birthday girl arrived at Cecconi's in West Hollywood with BFFs Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria Parker around 9:30 p.m.
Also there to celebrate the former Spice Girl: Kate Beckinsale, who arrived alone, followed by Jennifer Lopez.
Actress Nicole Richie joined the group later.
"There was a lot of laughing and giggling, and, at one point, I saw all of them making a toast and cheering with their glasses," an onlooker tells Usmagazine.com.
The waiter brought over a cake after a champagne-filled dinner, "and the ladies sang Happy Birthday to Victoria and she smiled and blew out her candle," the witness adds.
They all left around 1 a.m.
