Tawny Kitaen: Settles fraud suit against ex
American actress Tawny Kitaen and her ex-boyfriend have settled a lawsuit.
In the lawsuit, Tawny Kitaen claimed that her ex-boyfriend has cheated her out of $3 million in assets during their four-year relationship.
William Briggs, Kitaen's lawyer, did not say in details on the case which settled on Wednesday. He only said that the Kitaen is pleased with the settlement.
The case was scheduled to go to trial next week.
Philip Cyburt, her former boyfriend and real estate executive, denied any wrongdoing.
The 47 year old actress accused Cyburt of taking money from her brokerage account, writing checks in her name and selling real estate that she owned.
Tawny Kitaen became famous in the 1980s for appearing in several heavy metal music videos, most notably Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again", where she appeared in 1987 with David Coverdale to whom she was married from 1989-1991. She also starred with Tom Hanks in the 1984 comedy "Bachelor Party" and recently appeared in VH1's "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew".
