Woody Harrelson: Accused of abusing a paparazzo
A paparazzo has accused actor Woody Harrelson of assaulting him and destroying a video camera on Wednesday night at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The officials have brought out the confirmation of this news.
Sources have highlighted more on this news of Woody Harrelson. According to them, no charges have been launched. However the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police are carrying on this investigation. A concerned spokesman Ron Marsico added it on Friday.
Marsico continued, "There was a complaint filed alleging that Mr. Harrelson pushed a video camera into an individual's face and also damaged the camera," "We are looking into it."
Harrelson's spokeswoman added that she could not immediately comment.
Marsico said that the camera operator declined medical attention. He further said that Harrelson was gone once police got to the scene.
The camera operator was working for a popular website Marsico. However he declined for identifying the man who filed the complaint.
In December 2006, a TMZ paparazzo has launched a complaint with Los Angeles officials. He also said that he was assaulted by Harrelson. The district attorney in Los Angeles carried on investigation and did not file charges.
Forty seven year old Harrelson, who is presently a movie actor, gained popularity during 1980s. At that time he portrayed the character of a goofy and lovable bartender Woody Boyd on television sitcom "Cheers." He has grabbed an Emmy award for that role.
Harrelson got nomination for an Oscar award for the title role in the 1996 film, "The People vs. Larry Flynt" and also starred in 2007's "No Country for Old Men."
