Liam Neeson: Set to 'Clash' with Ralph
Actor Liam Neeson is now mentaly prepared to start work on his first film since the death of his wife, Natasha Richardson.
Liam Neeson has signed on to play the role of Zeus, the most powerful of Greek gods, in a remake of "Clash of the Titans" opposite Ralph Fiennes. Fiennes will play the role of Hades, troublesome ruler of the underworld.
Warner Bros. said on Thursday that Louis Leterrier will direct the film, which is scheduled to begin production in the United Kingdom later this month.
Being longtime friends, Neeson and Fiennes haven't shared the screen since 1993's "Schindler's List".
In 1981, Laurence Olivier has played the role of Zeus in the original "Clash of the Titans".
Liam Neeson has just finished his work on the Atom Egoyan film "Chloe", which he was in the middle of shooting when his wife died. His most recent movie, "Taken", surprisingly hit with nearly $140 million at the domestic box office earlier this year.
