Samuel L. Jackson: To host ESPY Awards
Academy Award-nominated American film and television actor Samuel L. Jackson will host the ESPY Awards for the fourth time this summer. The ESPY Awards is an annual sports awards event created and broadcast by American cable television network ESPN.
The famous actor previously hosted the show that honors the year's top sports performances and moments in 1999, 2001 and 2002.
American comedian Dennis Miller and American film actor and singer Jamie Foxx are the only others to have hosted the awards ceremonies more than once.
The show is moving this year to the Nokia Theatre across from Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles from its longtime home at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
The awards ceremoni will air on July 19 on ESPN.
Samuel Jackson has appeared in over seventy films, including "Pulp Fiction", "Eve's Bayou" and the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy. His credits include the movies "Pulp Fiction", "Shaft" and "Coach Carter".
Jackson has several upcoming film projects between 2009 and 2011.
