Courtney Love: Sued by designer over web rants
Courtney Love is facing a tough time. She faced a lawsuit over internet insults that this famous singer had been accused of posting on Twitter, MySpace and online marketplace Etsy.
Sources have highlighted on this news on Courtney Love. According to them, the fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir had filed the libel lawsuit against the "Celebrity Skin" singer in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.
According to Simorangkir's lawsuit, last year Courtney Love approached the designer for creating clothing and apparel for her. However the designer claimed that later Love refused to pay her for the work and unleashed verbal attacks on her.
A representative for Love was not available to make any comment.
The Lawsuit of fashion designer accuses Love, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, of spreading false statements online that Simorangkir is a drug dealer, a racist, an unfit mother and a homophobe.
Dawn is from Austin, Texas, and sells her clothing under the name Boudoir Queen.
Her lawsuit accuses Love of libel, invasion of privacy, intentional interference with her business, infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract. She also has sought damages in an amount to be proven at trial.
Forty four year old Love was the lead singer of the rock band Hole and starred in movies like "The People vs. Larry Flynt" (1996) and "Man on the Moon" (1999).
