Dancing with the Stars: Man arrested for attempting to break on to meet Shawn Johnson
A thirty four year old man with two loaded guns was detained after allegedly trying to break onto the set of the "Dancing with the Stars" in order to meet Olympic gymnastic champion Shawn Johnson. A popular news magazine has revealed this news.
According to the concerned authorities, Robert O'Ryan, an alleged fan of the seventeen year old star, had made the attempt for breaking onto the set of the popularity reality competition. The incident happened on Monday. O'Ryan was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The same news magazine has confirmed that judge of a Los Angles court granted a temporary restraining order against O'Ryan as per request of Shawn’s mother, Teri, in court on Wednesday.
O'Ryan must also stay away from the parents of Shawn namely Teri and Doug.
According to the restraining order request that was filed by Teri Johnson, O'Ryan stated that he "packed all his belongings, permanently left Florida to drive across the country because be believes [Shawn] is speaking to him personally through the television via ESP and that he will be with her no matter what."
Moreover the request considered that O'Ryan had "two loaded guns" - a 45mm handgun, a loaded shotgun "and materials classically used for kidnapping. Materials included zip ties, duct tape, a map to the victim," "Also found were love letters, clippings and other information on the victim.
According to the reporters of the same news magazine, O’Ryan, who is from Yullee, Florida, is still in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department. He was booked on a felony charge and is being held on bail of 35,000 dollars.
As per restraining order request, Shawn Johnson is "in fear for her life," and "extremely upset by this incident."
In a statement Teri Johnson added that the family has "been on the move ever since and have not been able to rest at all for fear that this disturbed person will attempt to make good on his statements and attempt to harm my daughter and possibly us as well."
However the representatives for ABC and Mark Ballas could not be reached for comment.
On Wednesday evening, a spokesperson for Shawn Johnson has released a statement.
It read, "The matter has been turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles District Attorney's office," the statement read. "It is currently an ongoing investigation and we are confident that it will be handled appropriately by all involved."
