 Matt Lauer: Recovering from shoulder surgery
American television journalist and TV host Matt Lauer dislocated his shoulder while bicycling on Long Island over the weekend after slamming on his brakes to avoid a deer and went flying. He is best known as the host of NBC's "The Today Show" since 1994.
The 51 year old Lauer was sidelined from appearing on Monday's "Today Show". He underwent a surgery to repair the shoulder. According to a report he is recovering.
"Today Show" news anchor Ann Curry said that the operation went "very well", but Lauer is in "a lot of pain".
Matt Lauer is expected to make a speedy recovery and should be returning to the show soon.
