Danica McKellar: Gets married to Verta
Danica McKellar, a mathematician and actress who played the beloved character Winnie Cooper on the famous television show The Wonder Years's, gets married to composer on Sunday. Her representative has told this to the reporters of a popular news magazine.
Thirty four year old Danica McKellar and Verta, who is thirty six year old, exchanged vows in an ocean-side church at sunset in La Jolla, Calif. At the ceremony nearly one hundred and fifty guests were present including the sister of the bride and maid of honor, namely Crystal McKellar, who played Becky Slater on The Wonder Years.
Other invitees included Allie Mills and Dan Lauria, who portrayed Kevin's parents on the show.
The bride wore a mermaid-style wedding gown and a tiara by Renee Strauss. The groom wore a tuxedo with tails and white gloves.
"We wanted an intimate, formal event." says McKellar, who walked down the aisle to wedding music composed by Verta and performed by members of the San Diego Symphony, had made the comment.
A reception was organized at a private club, where guests enjoyed a sitdown dinner and dancing to a 10-piece band. The newlyweds danced to an original Sinatra-style love song written by Verta and performed by McKellar's uncle, Kim McKellar.
The couple started dating in the year 2001 and got engaged last August in Chicago.
McKellar, who graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a BS in mathematics in the 1998, is the author of two books namely Math Doesn't Suck and Kiss My Math. She has also made appearance on several television shows including The West Wing.
Mike Verta is a famous music composer for film and television. He also came up with the titles and designed the covers for both of bestselling books of McKellar.
