 Anne Hathaway: To play Garland on stage, screen
The Oscar-nominated actress Anne Hathaway is set to portray the character of Judy Garland in both film and stage adaptations of Gerald Clarke's biography in 2000. It's titled "Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland."
The announcement was made on Monday by Weinstein Co. boss Harvey Weinstein.
This twenty six year old actress Anne showed off her song-and-dance skills at last month's Academy Awards, where she sang with host Hugh Jackman.
Anne Hathaway got the nomination for an Oscar for her lead role in "Rachel Getting Married" last year.
Born on 12th November, 1982, Anne Hathaway is an American actress. She made her acting debut in the 1999 television series Get Real. However her first prominent role was in Disney's family comedy The Princess Diaries that had established her career.
