Amanda Bynes: Joins ABC pilot

American actress Amanda Bynes has signed on to join ABC's comedy pilot "Canned".

Amanda Bynes will play the role of Sarabet. The show will feature a group of friends that includes Sarabeth who get fired in a corporate melt down. Sarabet is a naive Midwestern girl who often spent nights at the office to complete her work.

Amanda Bynes shot to fame as a tween star on Nickelodeon. She moved into broadcast TV with her WB comedy series "What I Like About You".

After appearing in several successful television series on Nickelodeon, Bynes transitioned to a film career, starring in several hit films aimed at teenage audiences, including "She's the Man" and "Hairspray".

Amanda Bynes most recently co-starred opposite Harry Connick Jr. in the Lifetime movie "Living Proof".
