Belinda Carlisle: First celebrity to be eliminated from DWTS

Belinda Carlisle was the first celebrity to get eliminated from the 8th season of the popular show of ABC namely Dancing With the Stars.

This fifty year old singer and her professional partner, Jonathan Roberts, went toe to toe with fellow low-scoring couple namely Steve Wozniak and his partner, Karina Smirnoff, in the show's first dance-off.

Each duo repeated their Monday night dance for new scores from the judges. Each earned 17 points out of 30. However the viewers have given votes to keep Apple co-founder Wozniak on the show for another week.

The votes of the viewer votes are combined with the scores of the judges in order to determine which couple is eliminated each week.

Head judge Len Goodman criticized Carlisle's salsa on Monday for its lack of "hip action." Although she improved her dance on, according to Len, she lost her footwork as a result.

Carlisle said that she did the best she could.

Carlisle continued, "I had a great time," she said. "I learned how to dance and I wish I could have done better for Jonathan, because he's a great teacher."
