Stacy Keach: Admitted to hospital
Actor Stacy Keach, who was in Los Angeles with a touring production of the play "Frost/Nixon," has been hospitalized on Tuesday for an undisclosed health problem. His representative has brought out the confirmation of the news.
Sixty seven year old Stacy Keach portrayed the character of late former U.S. President Richard Nixon in the stage production of "Frost/Nixon."
"Actor Stacy Keach was hospitalized this morning (March 17) and is in a Los Angeles hospital in stable condition," added his spokesman Dick Guttman by issuing forth a statement.
He added that further details would be released on Wednesday.
Keach is highly acclaimed for his portrayal of detective Mike Hammer on the 1980s television show of the same name. From 2005 to 2007, he starred in the television drama titled "Prison Break."
In the month of December during an interview with a popular news agency, he talked about his need to keep working and stay busy and also about his love of the game of golf which he tries to play once in a week.
He was arrested in the year 1984 and face imprisonment for 6 months after being caught carrying cocaine at London's Heathrow Airport.
He said, "I never went near it again." "Everyone at the time said the sentence was too harsh. But it saved my life."
The touring production of "Frost/Nixon" is scheduled to end its run in Los Angeles on 29th March. However no details have been issued on how his hospitalization is going to affect the play.
