Coolio, the Grammy-winning rap singer, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday on suspicion of drug possession. The police have revealed the news to the media.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Coolio. According to them this forty five year old rap singer, whose real name is Artis Levon Ivey Jr, was taken into custody at an LAX terminal at mid-morning after he was found possessing narcotics.
According to spokeswoman she had no further details on the arrest. The celebrity website TMZ reported that he was found possessing crack cocaine while going through security before boarding a Southwest Airlines flight.
Coolio first gained popularity in the year 1995 with the hit single "Gangsta's Paradise" and multi-million selling album of the same name.
Apart from music, the rapper has appeared on quite a number of reality television shows, including "Celebrity Fear Factor," and hosted the online program "Cookin With Coolio." |
