There is exciting news waiting for the fans of Megan Fox. She is in final negotiations to act opposite to Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in "Jonah Hex," Warner Bros.' action Western based on the DC Comics character. She is also going to exercise her acting skills in “Fathom," Atomic's comic book-based underwater adventure.
To be specific, in "Hex," being directed by Jimmy Hayward, Fox is going to portray Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex (Brolin), a scarred bounty hunter tracking a voodoo practitioner (Malkovich) who has the desire of raising an army of undead for the liberation of the South.
The movie is prepping for a shoot in the month of April along with Mad Chance's Andrew Lazar and Weed Road's Akiva Goldsman production.
"Fathom," a comic that is created by recently deceased artist Michael Turner, centers on the story of a young woman named Aspen who has learnt that she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water.
The project was at one point set up at James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment. When the option lapsed, producer Peter Safran scooped it up and began packaging it, thereby attracting Fox, a fan of the comic since its 1998 debut, when it became the top-selling comic of the year. Megan sought Turner to investigate "Fathom's" rights availability.
Fox is now helping develop and shape the adaptation, which is being written by Jordan Mechner, the creator of video game "Prince of Persia."
Although Megan Fox has started her acting career with the comedy "Hope and Faith," it made her feature debut in the film "Transformers" that helped her to become one of the top female names in Hollywood. Her appearance on the cover of GQ late last year propelled her to become a sex symbol and also set records for the sales of its magazine and its website.
Fox next appears in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and also stars in the Diablo Cody-penned comedic supernatural thriller film titled "Jennifer's Body," which is scheduled to be released during the fall. Recently she made her appearance in the comedy titled "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People." |
