Aaron Eckhart, Blair Underwood, Mario Lopez and Ali Larter were amongst the stars who have been felicitated with Cosmopolitan magazine's Fun Fearless Awards.
The awards, which give recognition to the entertainers for their bold career choices and Cosmo-size confidence, were presented at a gala dinner ceremony on Monday.
Underwood Eckhart, and Lopez were named Fun Fearless Males of 2009, along with other celebrities namely musicians Timbaland, NBC executive Ben Silverman, and Adam Levine, and actors Bradley Cooper, Rainn Wilson and Chace Crawford.
Maria Menounos of "Access Hollywood" presented the awards in traditional Hollywood style, there presenting clips of the work of each winner before welcoming them to the stage.
Before the program Wilson added, "It's great to be honored for anything at all," "I mean, a few years ago, I was driving a moving van."
Quite a number of honorees recalled personal moments of fearlessness as they reached at the presentation ceremony. Eckhart also added that he climbed a 20-foot ladder to paint his house. While Underwood talked how terrified he was terrified at the times of hitting the ski slopes as a kid Larter said the she faced the challenge of public speaking.
Lopez added that he took on writing, producing and performing on Broadway.
Cosmopolitan magazine presented Fun Fearless awards for over a decade.
According to the editor Kate White, Jon Bon Jovi was the first male honoree, "and the screams were so loud ... we just blew it out from there."
