Danny Boyle: Wins best director for 'Slumdog Millionaire'
British film producer and director Danny Boyle won the best director Oscar on Sunday for "Slumdog Millionaire".
Danny Boyle also won seven BAFTAs and four Golden Globe Awards this year. He is best known for his work on films such as "Trainspotting", "Sunshine", "28 Days Later" and "Slumdog Millionaire".
After receiving the award, Boyle siad, "I want to thank my dad, my sisters and my wife; one person we haven't thanked is the choreographer who directed the last song in the film - Longines. I want to thank him too".
Danny Boyle beat out David Fincher, the director of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", Stephen Daldry, the director of "The Reader", Gus Van Sant, the director of "Milk" and Ron Howard, the director of "Frost/Nixon".
