Nicollette Sheridan: Leaving 'Desperate Housewives'

Nicollette Sheridan has made up her mind to leave Desperate Housewives. Her representative has confirmed the news to Usmagazine.com.

This is not the first time that Nicollette, who portrays the character of real estate agent Edie Britt, will end her run on Wisteria Lane.

During the 5th season, show creator Marc Cherry has made the announcement that Sheridan's character would be crossing a moral boundary that "will have have devastating consequences for her and lead to a shocking conclusion to her time on Wisteria Lane."

Forty five actress, however, has denied the fact that she has been fired.

"Please! Edie's going to be causing trouble. The house hags have done terrible, terrible things to Edie," "There will only be one moment of true revenge when all of them are gone, and Edie remains!" Sheridan herself has told the news to USA Today in the month of April.

Sheridan was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in the year 2005 for her role on the TV drama.
