 Joe Francis: Prosecutors want bail to be revoked
While Joe Francis awaits trial on tax evasion charges, the federal prosecutors want a judge to revoke Joe Francis' bail.
Prosecutors, in a brief filed Monday, argue Francis has shown a "complete lack of respect" for the court's authority by missing a hearing earlier this month. A judge jailed the "Girls Gone Wild" creator overnight, but later granted his release on house arrest.
The prosecutors argue that Francis mischaracterized the court's action and downplayed his role in missing the hearing by issuing a statement after his release.
Joe Francis' statement said he missed the hearing because he was ill and his brief incarceration resulted from a "miscommunication."
A telephonic message left for Francis' attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday.
Joe is due back in court on Wednesday.
