Usher went through a difficult period. His wife, Tameka Raymond, is in stable condition after undergoing surgery in South America. A spokesperson for the R&B star has brought out the confirmation of the news to Access Hollywood.
In a statement the spokesperson added, "Tameka Raymond is in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil," "Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time."
As earlier reported on AccessHollywood.com, Tameka has experienced complications from plastic surgery in Brazil over the weekend.
On Monday, a source informed that Tameka was put in a medically induced coma following the surgical incident over the weekend. However she is now stable and also out of the coma.
Dr. Gabriel Hunt, a neurosurgeon, of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of Los Angeles, reached Brazil yesterday to investigate the health condition of Tameka.
Usher was forced to pull out of a scheduled performance at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party due to the incident.
Josh Groban filled in for the R&B star at Clive's annual event.
Thirty seven year old Tameka, a stylist who has recently given birth to the couple's second child, Naviyd Ely Raymond. The couple's first child, Usher Raymond V, was born in November 2007.
The couple made announcement of their engagement in February 2007 and also got married on 3rd August of that same year. |
