 Vincent Pastore of "The Sopranos" is in a New York court for fighting a lawsuit that has accused him of beating his former fiancee. On Friday a trial began in forty seven year old Lisa Regina's civil assault suit against him. She is also asking a jury of Manhattan state Supreme Court for unspecified damages for what she calls physical and psychological injuries.
In the year 2005 Pastore has pleaded guilty for the attempt of assault incited on Regina. He was sentenced to seventy hours of community service.
According to Regina Pastore pulled her out of a car in Manhattan's Little Italy on April 2005, hit her, dumped her and her luggage on the street, and drove away.
Despite the plea, sixty two year old actor has denied all charges of accusations and also complained that she actually has attacked him.
Pastore has portrayed the character of gangster Sal "Big Pussy" Bompensiero on the HBO series.
