Miley Cyrus got selected as a nominee for the forthcoming Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards that is scheduled to be held in the month of March. The announcement came on Friday. Beyonce, The Jonas Brothers and Jim Carrey were also amongst the top nominees for the award.
Anne Hathaway got her first Kids Choice Award nomination for her role in the movie "Get Smart”. Girl group The Pussycat Dolls and also former "American Idol" contestant Daughtry were amongst newcomer nominees in the musical categories.
Sixteen year old Miley Cyrus, 16, who has grabbed 3 nominations in the categories of favorite female singer, television actress and voice in an animated movie ("Bolt"). Infact her Disney Channel hit show titled "Hannah Montana" was in the running for favorite TV show.
"High School Musical 3: Senior Year" got nominated for best movie while Vanessa Hudgens was chosen for favorite movie actress nomination. Beyonce Knowles was nominated both for her song "Single Ladies" and also as favorite female singer.
Perennial Kids Choice favorites Jim Carrey , Jennifer Aniston , Adam Sandler and Will Smith are back again with nominations.
Chris Brown, a 2008 winner, is again nominated for best male singer, along with Jesse McCartney, Kid Rock and T-Pain.
The children will able to vote for their favorites in the worlds of movies, music, TV, sports, books and videogames online. Voting will start from March 2.
The Blimp trophies, which come with a green slime shower for the winners, will be given to the winners on March 28 at a ceremony in Los Angeles that will be aired worldwide. |
