Jennifer Hudson: National Anthem ready for download
Jennifer Hudson's public presentation of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Super Bowl XLIII is now on sale.
Jennifer Hudson's performance of the national anthem is now available for sale on iTunes. A portion of the cost will go to the Hudson-King Foundation, set up in honor of the singer's mother, brother and nephew, who were killed in October and to help those families who have lost relatives to violent crime.
Hudson's opening song, like "America the Beautiful" singer Faith Hill did before her, which she lip-synced to a prerecorded track on Sunday, was the singer's first public appearance since her devastating family tragedy last October.
Jennifer Hudson's next national performance will be on Friday, February 6 at the 2009 MusiCares Foundation gala and then at the 51st annual Grammys on February 8 where she is nominated for four awards.
Hudson is planning her first solo headlining tour in the spring. According to her manager Damien Smith, the six-week tour will begin in late March or early April.
