Erykah Badu: Wrote in blog about her child birth

Erykah Badu gave birth to a baby girl sometime during this weekend and talked about the experience.

Sources have thrown more light on the news of Erykah Badu .Universal Motown Records Group, the singer's record label, said that the baby was born on Sunday and both mother and daughter "are doing fine." The father is rapper Jay Electronica, her boyfriend.

The couple wrote about the birth on the Twitter website. Badu commented that she had a home birth that lasted for nearly 5 hours and she did not use painkillers.

Badu, whose real name is Erica Wright, has a son and a daughter from previous relationships.

Erykah released her 4rth studio album titled “New Amerykah, Part One (4th World War)," last year. "Part Two" will be released sometime during this month.
