Sarah Jessica Parker has got the opportunity to learn a little more about themselves thanks to a new series NBC which will look into the stars' family trees. Lisa Kudrow and Susan Sarandon too will be getting the same chance.
"Who Do You Think You Are," the latest venture from former "Friends" star Lisa Kudrow 's production company comes into collaboration with the U.K.'s Wall to Wall productions. It will take quite a number of celebrities through their family trees as they learn about their ancestry, which is often linked to major events in the history of America.
To be specific, the audiences will watch as the celebrities learn of the surprising, inspiring and sometimes tragic stories that lie at the heart of their family's history. In the process, the show will take viewers back to old world history to expose how the lives of everyone's collective ancestors shaped the world that they live in present day.
"This show personalizes history and turns it into a gripping narrative," "The most striking thing about the show is the realization of how connected we all are." Lisa has added this in a statement.
The program is already in its 6th season in the UK. A highlight from the UK version's Season 5 took talk show host, Jerry Springer, on an emotional journey.
"Who Do You Think You Are?" is making its premiere on 20th April at 8 PM. |
