List of Oscar Nominations 2009

Yesterday was the biggest day in Hollywood. The Academy Award nominations were announced on January 22, 2009.

This year's most nominated film is "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" with thirteen nominations.

The movie "Slumdog Millionaire" has got 10 Oscar nominations.

The film "Doubt" has got 4 nominations for best picture, best supporting actress for Amy Adams and Viola Davis, best supporting actor for Phillip Seymour Hoffman and best leading actress for Meryl Streep.

The movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is close behind with 3 nominations including best picture, best actor for Brad Pitt and best supporting actress for Taraji Henson. The Reader scored two nominations for best picture and best lead actress for Kate Winslet.

Meryl Streep has extended her lead as the most nominated performer with her fifteenth nomination.

A.R. Rahman is the first Indian music composer to get three Oscar nominations.
