Famed quartet played taped music in Barack Obama's inauguration

Millions of viewers heard a recording of the melodious tunes that were played by a celebrated quartet of musicians at the inauguration of President Barack Obama rather than the notes that the group actually played.

Sources have thrown more light on the news of Barack Obama. According to them, Carole Florman, a spokeswoman for the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, added that the weather was too cold for the instruments to stay in tune. Therefore considering the present situation Cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Izhak Perlman, pianist Gabriella Montero and clarinetist Anthony McGill took the decision to use an audio tape of their performance that they had laid down almost 2 days earlier on Inauguration Day on Tuesday.

As per Florman, the musicians said that they were "very insistant on playing live until it became clear that it would be too cold," thereby making it impossible for the instruments to hold tune. People sitting near them could hear the musicians play. However their instruments were not amplified.
