On Sunday Latino entertainers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have graced the red carpet at Union Station Sunday thereby giving a Hispanic flair to the inauguration pre-celebration.
Details about Jennifer Lopez have been inferred from quite a number of sources. According to them, they have posed quickly for cameras with no visible signs of the marital distress that tabloids have been making these days. The two singers have entertained the crowd at the end of the night.
Not only that Jennifer Lopez introduced Anthony after talking about the new president.
Cheering at the crowd she added, "Yes we can," "We all stood together and said 'Yes we will.'"
Lopez, wearing an electric blue strapless gown, towered over her husband Marc Anthony, who wore pinstripes.
Although the duo talked little from the carpet, Anthony hugged Jennifer as he swiftly moved off the carpet.
In spite of focusing on entertainment, the music quickly mixed with politics.
Tony Plana, who has portrayed Betty’s father in the television series titled "Ugly Betty," commented that he was ecstatic about the victory of President-elect Barack. He also said that Obama’s administration could improve the lives of all minorities. He also said that Hispanics deserved a better spot on the inaugural festivities list.
"American Idol" runner up David Archuleta kicked off the night with "The Star-Spangled Banner".
Other entertainers at the event are comedian George Lopez, Mexican singer Lila Downs, telenovela actress Angelica Vale, actress Rosie Perez, and others. |
