 At the time of recording of Oprah Winfrey's daytime talk show which she temporarily moved from Chicago to Washington D.C in order to cover the inauguration of Barack Obama vice president-elect Joe Biden and his wife, Jill came as surprise guests.
Details about Oprah Winfrey have been inferred from quite a number of sources. When Oprah asked the couple the secret to their long and happy marriage, Biden glanced at his wife, whom he called "Jilly," and made a gesture towards her beautiful face. He said that it was all about communication and having similar family values. They both come from same working-class background.
Joe Bidden’s wife Bill also carried on a frank discussion in the show. She revealed that Biden had the choice of being Secretary of State or Vice President and that he opted for the Vice presidential spot since it would be a better option for the family. When Jill became embarrassed for sharing a secret, Joe Biden leaned over and kissed her on the lips.
They also talked about their son, Beau, who is currently stationed in Iraq with the Army National Guard. Joe also said that he and his wife could carry on internet chatting with him while they went out on stage at Grant Park.
Joe Bidden’s mother was in the balcony of Oprah's audience and did a shout-out for her son.
