 Michael Douglas: TV Land to broadcast AFI salute
The Television Land has scored the rights to broadcast the moment when Michael Douglas accepts his lifetime achievement award from the American Film Institute.
The cable channel says it signed a four-year deal to air the annual ceremony for the institute's award, which will be presented to Douglas on June 11 in Los Angeles. The USA Network previously broadcast the celeb-studded event.
Douglas, whose career highlights include "Wall Street" and "Traffic," will be the 37th recipient of the award. The tribute will air July 19 on TV Land.
Past AFI honorees include Al Pacino , Sean Connery , Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg , Elizabeth Taylor and Jack Nicholson.
