Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is going to meet the publishers sometime later this month in order to discuss about her three book projects, including a memoir of her service in the administration of George W. Bush.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Condoleezza Rice. On Friday she herself has brought the confirmation of the news to the reporters of a famous news agency of United States. It is reported that Rice is pursuing book proposals in the near future.
Executives at two publishing houses and a senior aide to Rice too were available for comments. They said that potential deals would also include a memoir about Rice's family and a multimedia project about international affairs for preteens and adolescents. An anonymous source told talks with Rice were still in the beginning stages.
Although forty four year old Condoleezza Rice has been criticized for her loyalty to an unpopular president, publishers have the strong belief that there is strong interest in her story . The story centers on a minister's daughter who rose from a segregated community in Birmingham, Ala., to become a faithful national security official for the 1st President Bush and a close ally of the 2nd President Bush as national security adviser and secretary of state.
The senior adviser to Rice said that she will visit publishers in New York on Jan. 28-29, and is being represented by the William Morris Agency. |
