Aaron Eckhart, the famous actor, thinks that his co-star in Dark Knight late Heath Ledger, who has portrayed the character of The Joker, will receive an Oscar nomination when the names of the nominees are unveiled on 22nd January.
More news on Aaron Eckhart’s comment has been inferred from quite a number of sources. Briefing the reporters of a popular news magazine of United States during Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California, Aron said, “I do. I don't know why I do." "I totally have no say whatsoever, but I do believe Heath is deserving of a nomination. I think he took a well-known character in movie history and made it his own and really resonated with the people."
Heath Ledger has grabbed the Critics' Choice Award for best supporting actor, which was accepted by the film's director Christopher Nolan on his behalf. The film Dark Knight also won the best action movie category and is up for a Golden Globe on Sunday.
Aaron continued, "It would be wonderful for Chris Nolan and for Heath Ledger," "I think they are absolutely deserving. I think the movie runs deep and it has Oscar merit to it. I wouldnt say it if I didnt think so. Its a great script and I think people get out of the movie much more than an ordinary comic book movie, so well see." |
