Time is apt for the fans of Mark Waters to rejoice. "Mean Girls" director Mark Waters is in negotiations in order to sign on for "Minimum Wage," a timely comedy that pinpoints the effects of greed.
Details about Mark Waters news has been inferred from quite a number of sources. According to them, the story centers on a corrupt corporate executive who is convicted of fraud and sentenced to one year of living on minimum wage in the town where his company got bankrupted.
It is reported that the comedy is going to be produced by Participant Media, which aims to make commercial films with a social bent. This year, it was behind such movies as Tom McCarthy's "The Visitor" and Errol Morris' "Standard Operating Procedure."
Mark Waters last directed "The Spiderwick Chronicles." His comedy titled "The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" is scheduled to be released on 1st May. |
