Matt Dillon: Charged with speeding in Vermont
Matt Dillon, the famous actor, was charged with driving at an extreme speed and allegedly going 106 mph on an interstate highway. The news has been confirmed by Vermont State Police.
More information about Matt Dillon has been inferred from quite a number of sources. As per their report forty four year old Matt Dillon of New York was pulled over by a trooper on Interstate 91 in Newbury at around 10 p.m. EST on Tuesday. He was driving in a rented 2009 Chevrolet Impala.
Since the posted speed limit is 65 mph Matt Dillon was criminally charged under a statute that has banned the speed limit of vehicle of 30 mph and above while traveling 60 mph or more.
Matt Dillon is scheduled to appear in Vermont District Court on 21st January. If convicted, he could even face 3 months of imprisonment and should receive fine of 300 dollars.
"We're trying to treat him no different than we would anyone else," added Sgt. Tara Thomas, a representative of State Police.
However Staci Wolfe, the publicist of Matt Dillon has declined to put forth his comment.
Dillon has received a best supporting actor Oscar nomination for the film "Crash." Other important films include "Herbie Fully Loaded", "There's Something About Mary," and "The Flamingo Kid." |
