Eva Longoria: Talks about her marriage
Eva Longoria is quite frank in discussing her relationship with husband Tony Parker, the famous NBA star. After being married for one year and a half, she recognizes one challenge of wedded bliss.
Sources have thrown more light on the news of Eva Longoria. During an interview of a popular news magazine of United States she said, “Marriage is a commitment, so you always have to work at it," she tells the February Man Issue of Glamour. "For us, just juggling schedules is the biggest obstacle we have, and we don’t even really have a problem with that either."
Eva admits that she is more of a traditional wife than one might expect.
"I love having dinner ready and making sure his clothes are ironed and that he's packed and ready when he goes on road trips," she says. "I'm the gardener [in our relationship]. I definitely nurture. [Tony] is the flower. But there are times when Tony takes care of me -- in an emotional sense, like, okay, let me take the reins on this one. But I love to take care of him. I’m really a very '50s housewife." This comment too is made by Eva Longoria.
She even added his name to hers after they wed. She said, "Tony didn't care either way. But I love tradition, too," "It's romantic."
When it comes to fairy tale endings, however, Longoria is uncertain."I take it day by day," she says. "Tony and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time," added Eva Longoria.
Parker might not even be Eva Longoria's soulmate.
She said, "I believe in soulmates," she says. "It could be a lover, it could be a sister, it could be a best friend. It doesn't have to be romantic."
For those single women still looking for the romance, thirty three year old Eva Longoria, gave the advice that women should be open to dating.
She commented, "Just get out there and meet people. I think sometimes women are stuck in a type. I’ve never dated the same type. I fall in love with personalities, and they come in different packages."
Eva Longoria, who says that qualities of her perfect man are intelligence, wit and obsession, fell for Parker's personality and not his looks. |
